ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 27, 2005

7:00  P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Ellen Abelson, Richard

                   Gorden and Mark Mazur

1.   The Board reviewed and approved, as amended, the minutes to our 1/13/05 meeting.

2.   The Board reviewed the Finance Committee recommendations for our fiscal year

      2006 budget.  It was noted that $25,000 in funding for our fiscal year 2007

      revaluation is included in the budget.

3.   The Board approved the fiscal year 2005 clause 37 Blindness exemption application

      for the owner of Parcel #122016024..

4.   The Board granted a fiscal year 2004 real estate abatement to the owner of Parcel

      #096006000 in final settlement of their appeal.  The Board directed the

      Administrative Assessor to write a letter to the owner’s representative so that

      there will be no misunderstanding what we have agreed to.

5.   The Board discussed how they intend to process settlement agreements from fiscal

      year 2004 that carry over to fiscal year 2005.

6.   The Board agreed to dispose of duplicate property record cards that have been

      available to the public.  They are outdated and seldom used.

7.   The Board agreed to throw out bound deeds from before 1980.  This will

      alleviate some overcrowding in our storage area.  We will still be able to access the

      information from the Registry of Deeds.

8.   The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2005 applications for abatement

      on the following real estate parcels:
